The Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Speaker, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa has commended the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria  SWAN Lagos state chapter for her consistent commitment and advocacy towards sports growth in Lagos state.

 

This was made known  recently in Lagos at the Assembly Complex  in Alausa, as he received the Caretaker Executive Commitee headed  by Aron Akerejola of Arise TV during a courtesy visit to the Rt.Hon. Speaker.

The leader of the most prestigious House of Assembly in Nigeria  hailed the Caretaker Executive Committee for their outstanding Performance on sports upgrade and ensuring Sports continue to gain better recognition and necessary attention needed.

 

He said, it is no doubt, Lagos state government has continued to play special role in sports developmental growth and also ensuring Lagos State becomes a Universal Sports Hub and home of Luxury for many athelets across the world.

The Speaker who is representing Agege constituency I at Lagos State House of Assembly said , he is higly impressed with the level of innovation and futuristic framework the Caretaker Secretary,Olatutu Oladunni has analysed before him on behalf of Lagos SWAN as this had really proven that it is going to be a realistic vision that will also add good values to  Lagos State.

 

He lauded the Caretaker Executive Committee during their familiarization tour and promised that Lagos House of Assembly will  continue to offer its unique and unrelenting support as this will enhance better integration and smoother synergy between Lagos State House of Assembly, Lagos State Government and the Sports writing family in Lagos state.

 

Obasa ,while being decorated and honoured with a Fellowship  Award of Recognition by the Caretaker  Executive Committee and receiving the newly unveiled SWAN  branded kit expressed his utmost happiness and appreciation towards Lagos SWAN.

In her response,  the Secretary ,Caretaker Executive Committee, Olatutu Oladunni commended the Speaker for his unrelenting support and commitment towards sports developmental growth in Lagos state.  She explained that there is need to create a more productive integration between Lagos Assembly and Lagos SWAN.  She said there is need to continue to embrace sports as it is an unquantifiable investment that can add more gains to the IGR of Lagos State.

 

She praised the Speaker for several bills  on Sports the Lagos Assembly has passed into Law in time past which is yielding a positive result today.

Breaking: PDP induces people to impersonate political parties, plans press conference.

Concerned citizens in Ogun state on Friday raised an alarm over the inducement of some buyable politicians by PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Ladi Adebutu.

 

The insider source revealed that Adebutu, who lost out in the governorship election of last Saturday, has slated a press conference where some people will impersonate the executives of the Ogun State Chapter of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) along with few politicians claiming to be Chairmen of registered political parties, with a promise of N2 million naira each.

The press conference slated for Park Inn Abeokuta, owned by Ladi Adebutu’s father will hold any moment from now.

 

According to the insider source, “Ladi and his party know they cannot win at the Tribunal because they are quoting a wrong section of the Electoral Act 2022, while ignoring the relevant and applicable section of the law. That is why they are bent on inciting and inducing the public instead of going to the Tribunal”

Wema Bank Organises Financial Literacy Programme for Students to mark 2023 Global Financial Literacy Day

Wema Bank Plc, Nigeria’s leading Innovative Financial Institution is championing financial literacy for the next generation by participating in the Global Money Week to commemorate the Financial Literacy Day on March 23, 2023.
