The euphoria that greeted the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) on Wednesday, 8 June, 2022 has continued to vibrate across the nooks and crannies of the country, especially among his die-hearted supporters.

The city of Akure, the capital of Ondo State, southwest Nigeria, was agog at the weekend when one of the leading support groups of Tinubu’s presidential ambition, Tinubu Hope Vanguard, hosted a victory party to thank God, and also to celebrate the victory at the APC presidential primary in Abuja.

The Oba-Ile Housing Estate in Akure, where the party was hosted, was a beehive of activities, even despite being a raining Saturday, many members of the group trooped out in their numbers to celebrate the former Governor of Lagos State whose moment of glory is now.

The Convener of Tinubu Hope Vanguard, Barrister Rotimi Dawodu said he was not surprised that Tinubu could win the APC primary with a landslide result, adding that Asiwaju has been a product that gives his supporters very easy marketing push.

According to him, the party was organised to “celebrate the victory of our leader, mentor and uncommon strategist Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban of the universe. We are celebrating his victory in the APC presidential primary because all members of Tinubu Hope Vanguard believe that this is a well-deserved victory,” Barrister Rotimi said.

The Convener of Tinubu Hope Vanguard applauded the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by Tinubu as he extended his hands of fellowship to his co-contestants, who he has been visiting to appeal to them so that all hands would be on deck to ensure total victory in the general elections next year.

“I am so amazed with his style of leadership. All that happens in the primary is behind us now as we now set sights on the campaign for the general elections.

“Today, we gather here to celebrate our victory in Abuja. I must confess, I didn’t have any doubt that Asiwaju would win the primary. We thank God and we appreciate all the delegates who voted rightly during the election,” said Barrister Rotimi.

Dr Funmilola Dawodu, the wife of the Convener said the party was a get together of members of Tinubu Hope Vanguard to celebrate the victory of the builder of men, chief strategist and an economic guru who is a friend of all irrespective of tribes and religious. She noted that the group is ever ready to mobilise more than ever before to see that Tinubu is voted into the office during the next general elections.

Dr Adeolu Austin, a member of the group said the party was a celebration of uncommon victory against all adversities, against all permutations and against all conspiracies. We are grateful that our group is counted among the various noble platforms that stood in support of our principal in whom we have all hopes that he would turn around the fortune of this great nation.

He noted that the APC presidential primary was the first hurdle for Tinubu to cross, adding that the second phase in the race is the campaign which he believes would be issues based, devoid of the usual ethnic and religion biases associated with Nigerian politics.

Many other members who spoke during the party praised the doggedness of Tinubu as a fighter which all his supporters are looking forward to.

The event was a moment of merriment, joy and dance for members of the Tinubu Hope Vanguard.

Gov Wike And 3 Other Govs Will Work Against Atiku’s 2023 Ambition-Primate Ayodele

The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele on Wednesday, issued a warning to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar over his ambition.

Primate Ayodele in a warning to Atiku, alleged that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and three other PDP governors are planning a “great tsunami” against him if he fails to resolve the crisis within the party.

He said Atiku would be shocked if he failed to strategize well as some governors would work against him in the election and the Presidency will be ceded to another person.

In a statement signed by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the man of God also maintained that the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will not win the 2023 election because they do not have God’s backing but if Atiku fails to re-strategize, a political revolution will take place that will produce another person as Nigeria’s next president.

“If Atiku doesn’t strategize well, he will be shocked in 2023 because some governors in PDP plan to dump and work against him in the presidential election. Governor Wike and three other governors will disappoint him if he is not careful. I see a great tsunami being planned against his ambition by these governors and the only way this can be averted is by intentionally settling the crisis.

“Atiku should make an immediate effort to settle the internal crisis in the party or else, he will cede the Presidency to another person.

“I still maintain that APC cannot win but if Atiku doesn’t re-strategize now, a political revolution will produce another person who will be Nigeria’s next president in 2023,” he said.

Go Back To Lagos-Akinlade Urges Yayi

The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Adekunle Akinlade in Ogun State has advised the Lagos West Senator, Olamilekan Adeola to drop his Ogun West senatorial ambition before it is too late.

Aknlade had recently described as insulting, the fact that the All Progressives Congress (APC) handed the Ogun West senatorial ticket to Adeola, at a time he is still representing Lagos West; saying he is on the ballot to stop him.

Reacting to Akinlade, Adeola asked the Ipokia indigene to explain why he changed his name from Taju to Abdulkabir, saying the PDP chieftain cannot visit the United Kingdom.

“I am presently in London, United Kingdom. I challenge Hon. Akinlade to pick up his international passport and travel to London to prove that he had no criminal record and investigation in London. If he does, I can bet he will not come back to contest any election in Nigeria as the UK security agency, MI5, will have him as a guest for a long while to explain his con activities in London. Arrest awaits him on arrival at the border of United Kingdom” Senator Adeola stated.

In his swift response, Akinlade described Adeola as a confused interloper, “who in his frustration after the emergence of the Ota High Chief, Oluwo Ganiu Dada as the PDP Ogun West Senatorial candidate threw all decency to the dogs and resulted to name calling and shameful lies.”

Akinlade, who prided himself as a true son of Ogun West extraction, said he only expressed his view that “our Ekiti brother’s attempt to buy his way into the Yewa linage was dead on arrival and an insult to their collective heritage as Ogun West indigenes.”

According to him, rather than react to his simple and unambiguous clarifications, Adeola chose to “resort to unfounded lies.”

Speaking on allegations that he changed his name to cover up, Akinlade said, “Well, unlike “Shawn Michael” and “Sulaiman”, Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade simply exercised his constitutional right and backed same with sworn Affidavits which was published in the national dailies.”

Sharing a picture, Akinlade said he was in the UK in March 2022 where he visited the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alh. Sarafa Tunji Isola at his official residence.

“For the records, Hon. Akinlade is a resident of the United Kingdom.

”That said, Senator Adeola Solomon’s outburst clearly proves that he lacks depth, the comportment to handle himself under pressure, and the intelligence to relate in a civil manner when the tide is against him, vis-à-vis his Senatorial ambition in Ogun West. Our candid advice is that it is not too late for him to count his losses and exit Ogun West because it will not be a tea party as claimed by those deceiving him.

“The struggle ahead in the next couple of months is clear, good against evil, truth against lies, uprightness against deceit. Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade obviously stands for good, truth and uprightness for his people,” Akinlade’s media, Adelani Azeez, said in a statement.

Adelani quoted Akinlade as saying he still believes that there is a good side of Sen. Adeola’s character, as he, in spite of the aspersion cast at his person, has the feeling that Adeola could not have authored the false claims being circulated by his aides.
